Abstract

Oesapa Health Center is a health center that has the highest number of dengue cases in Kupang City in 2019 and spread throughout the Puskesmas working area. Regional-based disease management analysis techniques using spatial analysis can be used to facilitate the determination of the DHF problem solving intervention program. Spatial analysis is used to determine the pattern of disease spread and potential areas of dengue transmission based on area. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of dengue delivery, the spread of dengue incidence based on population density, the House Index and Container Index and the buffer. This type of research is a descriptive survey with a case study design. The sampling technique used total sampling with 98 people. The results of spatial analysis using Quantum GIS show the distribution pattern of dengue incidence with Clustered pattern with NNI value of 0,60 <1, the entire work area of Oesapa Health Center is included in the category of high population density, House Index and Container Index with the highest incidence of DHF in Oesapa and Lasiana Subdistrict and buffer analysis shows the tendency of dengue disease transmission in most cases to occur within a 100 meter radius, so the Oesapa Community Health Center work area is a high risk area for dengue transmission. Mosquito Nest Eradication Activities can be carried out by the community to prevent the spread of dengue disease.

Abstract

A coronary heart disease is a disease which occurs because of the damage of blood vessel walls due to several factors of risk, such as free radical substances contained in cigarettes and pollution, cholesterol, hypertension, and smoking habits. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation of smoking with coronary heart diseases. The research is an analytic survey with case control design. The population of this study were people who smoke that suffer from coronary heart diseases and those who do not suffer from the diseases. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling, which consisted of 86 respondents. The respondents were divided into case and control sample respondents with similar number of people (43) respectively. The statistical test used was contingency coefficient test (c). The research shows that there was no correlation between jobs and family members health history towards the coronary heart diseases(p>0.05), whereas a correlation was found between the type of cigarettes, smoking intensity, sexes, duration of smoking, and the early age when smoking began with coronary heart diseases (p˂0.05).

Abstract

Diarrhea problems due to contamination with Escherichia coli bacteria in drinking water depots have become known in Kupang City. This is supported by Telan of the 2015 study in the work area of the Oepoi Community Health Center in the city of Kupang, in which it is found that 20% of the DAMIU are contaminated with E. coli bacteria. This study aims to determine the level of knowledge of the DAMIU operator, the hygiene of the DAMIU devices, the personal hygiene and the description of the bacteriological content in DAMIU in the village of Lasiana in 2019 and also the bacteriological content of drinking water in DAMIU. This research is done at DAMIU in Lasiana Village. The time of the study was carried out from January to July 2019. The population in this study was the total DAMIU in the Lasiana district, which was 21 DAMIU. This study uses a Purposive Sampling technique so that the sample of this study is 10 DAMIU families located in the Lasiana district. The results of this study show that: The total bacteriological content of E. coli that does not meet the requirements is 60% DAMIU. For the renovation of DAMIU devices that do not meet 80% of the requirement. The number of DAMIU operators with a good level of knowledge is 90%. This does not mean good criteria for DAMIU body care. The conclusion is that DAMIU in Lasiana still does not meet the requirements of both bacteriological requirements as well as device hygiene and personal hygiene of the operator. Suggestions for the health office and DAMIU owners to comply with DAMIU hygiene standards more carefully and decisively.

Abstract

Transportation is a very important part of human life. In fact, the existence of a vehicle can improve all human activities in carrying out the occupied routine, but problems arise such as traffic jams and increased traffic accidents. The Minister of Transportation stated that 4 (four) people died every day due to traffic accidents, 72% occurred in Indonesia and 73.9% involved motorbikes. The incident was an indication that motorbikes were the main cause of traffic accidents and contributed the most victims. The traffic accident data of the East Nusa Tenggara POLDA in 2018 showed a trend of increasing traffic accidents in 2018. The level of population mobilization in the legal territory of the West Sumba POLRES is relatively high. Based on the annual report book of West Sumba POLRES in 2018 there have been traffic accidents with 126 cases. The study aims to determine the factors associated with motorcycle driver traffic accidents in the area of West Sumba POLRES in 2019. This type of research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional study approach. This research was conducted at the West Sumba Police Resort with a sample of 53 people. Analysis of the data used the chi-square statistical test. The results of this study indicate that the factors associated with traffic accidents are age (p = 0.004), behavior (p = 0.008), and lamp conditions (p = 0.005).

Nutritional problems caused by socio-economic conditions, lack of knowledge about nutrition, lack of nutrient intake and disease infection. Data on the health department of the city of Kupang in 2017, cases of malnourished infants were recorded as many as 240 cases. The purpose of the study was analyze the incidence of malnutrition in children under five in Kupang City. This research is analytic survey research with case control design. Total sampling technique in the case group and systematic random sampling in the control group. The factors that partially influence the incidence of malnutrition (p-value ≤ 0,05) are maternal knowledge about nutrition, the number of family members, the level of energy adequacy, and the level of protein adequacy. Mothers who have toddlers need to pay attention to the nutritional intake of family members, especially toddlers by increasing nutrition knowledge regarding the fulfillment of energy and protein intake.
